Captain Wardwell and former actress Lisa are spouses who have become each other's captors on an island off the shore of Maine. After 25 years bitterness the threat of love resurfaces when his friend -- her younger cousin! -- Carl comes to visit.

THE DEADLY DANCE is an adapted Americanized version of August Strindberg’s classic THE DANCE OF DEATH. It is set on a military base on a small island off the coast of Maine in 1905. An unhappily married couple, Lisa a former actress and husband Wardwell, a semi-retired naval Captain, have been living in what was formerly a fortress/prison for 25 years. When Lisa’s cousin Carl enters their dreary lives, sparks begin to fly as an attraction blossoms between the cousins and the Captain faces an existential dilemma.
