Beverly Bonner’s live stage show “CASEY - 30 YEARS LATER”, a hilarious play based upon her Casey character from the Frank Henenlotter's classic cult Horror Film, BASKET CASE returns to New York City.

This exciting night opens with dynamic opening acts, followed by live presentation of CASEY----30 YEARS LATER.

BASKET CASE, released in 1982, tells the story of a young man who carries his deformed conjoined twin brother in a large basket while seeking vengeance on the doctors who separated them against their will. Written and directed by Frank Henenlotter, BASKET CASE became a cult hit and spawned two sequels.

“Casey---30 Years Later” catches up with Bonner’s character from the film series, she owns a lower East Side Bar in New York City and has a stable of Mature Ladies of the Evening to help with the expenses of the Bar and Home upstairs.

Casey is interviewed by a fan, a college reporter who seeks to find out what she’s been up to all these years. Other key players are Kitty, Casey’s sexy, trashy, dumb bar waitress obsessed with Reality Shows and Casey’s Religious Fanatic niece, Judy. Complete listing of this double cast can be found on www.BeverlyBonner.com.

The show is hilarious and Ms. Bonner’s comic timing is flawless, she and the other splendid cast members are a charismatic, hilarious mix. Max Cheney, award winning blogger (The Drunken Severed Head), reviewed the August 2011 world premiere of the show at the Hollywood Theater in Pittsburgh, PA: See some of his comments below:

“The premise is that Casey, even brassier and sassier than in her youth, now runs a call girl service for elderly hookers, and is visited by a young journalist who wants to interview her about the people--including the monstrous Belial--seen in the cult movie.

………it was also very funny! I laughed so hard at one point the row in front of me jumped--but they were laughing, too. I thought this was a smart event--more than a personal appearance of an actor at a film showing, this extended the movie's story. Henenlotter gave Ms. Bonner his blessing for the show because he enjoys her comedic talent. It was amply on display here…..”
