Always one of our most popular shows, these year’s Rooftop Films/Solar One 4th of July event may be our best yet, featuring great music, a two hour open bar, the most incredible view of the fireworks you could ever imagine, and a program of fun and fascinating political short films. Doors open at 5 PM and you should all get there early to enjoy 2 hours of FREE Martin Miller’s Gin, Dewar’s Scotch Whisky and chilled Beaujolais Wine. After that we will have a DJ and live music by Vic Thrill and The Saturn Missile , followed by the fireworks. Solar One is situated right on the water at 23rd Street on the East Side, so there will be a fireworks barge directly across from us, just a couple of hundred feet out in the water. After the fireworks, we will be showing great short films on our huge inflatable screen, including animation about fictitious American cartoon legends and a hilarious and fascinating documentary about the longest historical reenactment in American History—a three year voyage across the Western U.S. by actors playing the part of the expeditionary crew led by Lewis and Clark.
