A contemporary play that explores the complexity of female love, passions and emotions. The play is inspired by the ancient Greek dilemma: Clytemnestra, a woman who has symbolized passion in diverse ways through history. In a post-apocalyptic setting, four women address their tragic relationship with a man who may have driven them to commit a crime. “Where There Was Fire” is an adaptation from the short story Clytemnestra or Crime, by Marguerite Yourcenar; it is a diverse exploration of humanity and the interactions of people in a constantly changing social environment complete with visual poetry and the director’s own aesthetic approach.
