A Slight Headache is a performance and exhibition by artist Alyson Pou presented in the manner of a 19thc. Dime Museum/Sideshow. A woman miraculously gives birth to a tiny girl from her forehead and the two are inextricably joined by their hair. Over the years the girl grows and the hair grows. Mother and Daughter now reside in the back rooms of a Dime Museum where they perform shows, display curiosities and sell souvenirs.

Visit the historic South Street Seaport and step back in time to 1875. Marvel at such curiosities as the world's only bearded piranha. See Mother and Daughter perform and hear their amazing story. Witness the daughter's psychic powers! Procure your own bottle of deluxe hair elixir and all manner of sensational souvenirs!
