A dramatic and spiritual sixty minute adventure of music and monologues that explores two distinct cultures in two distinct ways. Jewish culture, Indian culture, the combination of jazz piano with Indian tabla and the telling of personal, cultural stories by the musicians on stage. Using elements of jazz improvisation and the oral tradition, "Shalom Bombay" is meant to be a conversation between the performers on stage and with the audience at the same time. The monologues utilize the foundations of the oral tradition where there is no fourth wall and the story itself is scripted orally and changes during each performance based on audience response.
