Ahoy! Join Alan Friend and his concertina at 7 pm for a two-hour sea shanty workshop on the historic Waterfront Museum Barge at the Brooklyn Bridge Park. Learn about the history of the songs of the sea, the many types of shanties, how these work songs fit into the lives of sailors on the high seas! Learn about the role of the shanty man, and the types of instruments on board ships. Come sing your hearts out under the Brooklyn Bridge.
