The story of an Irish family and a Jewish family living in a 2-story house in Saratoga, New York, near the famous racetrack. The Irish family has borrowed funds from disreputable thugs to resurrect the acting career of the wife Nessa O'Callahan Flynn. The Jewish family has borrowed funds from shady relatives to pay for their son Shimshon's bar mitzvah. When Odonodan O'Callahan, Nessa's jockey brother shows up with a horse with no name, the 2 wives put their heads together and decide to make some money on the races. But when Odonodan decides to name the horse Bar Mitzvah Boy, things get a little mixed up, resulting in rabbis and jockeys competing, and a warped version of O'Neill's LONG DAY'S JOURNEY INTO NIGHT.
