“Possibility Junkie” is a brand new musical theater piece directed by Gretchen Cryer and presented by Theater for the New City. It tells the story of David Ippolito, who has been known as “That Guitar Man from Central Park” for 20 years, writing and singing songs of Love, and Life, and social conscience… often with a political edge or a wink. In “Possibility Junkie”, we find out what happens when one of his songs goes viral on YouTube and pokes Conservative talk show host Sean Kilroy in the eye. When the FAX NEWS personality decides to go after The Guitar Man, things escalate beyond what anyone could have possibly expected.
