The chorus has performed at Carnegie Hall in honor of the Paul Robeson Centennial, at Madison Square Garden in honor of Pete Seeger's 90th birthday and for international United Nations delegates in honor of International Workers Memorial Day at the UN. The New York City Labor Chorus was founded in 1991 and has 75 members representing over 20 labor unions and District Councils. Through song, the chorus promotes union solidarity by expressing the history and ongoing struggles of workers for economic and social justice.
