New Chamber Ballet concludes its 2011/12 season with a program of five ballets with live music:

A world premiere by Miro Magloire: a dramatic trio set to piano music by Morton Feldman;

Magloire's Emilia, a "dark love triangle set to Karlheinz Stockhausen's Klavierstück VII and VIII,...expressionistic... seething with strangled and rigid forms." (Claudia LaRocco, The New York Times)

The Letter, a comic duet to a piano sonata by Joseph Haydn;

Allegretto, Innocente, a lighthearted trio, also to music by Haydn, in which "the interplay between stillness and lively motion and between soloist and attendants is charmingly engineered." (Deborah Jowitt, The Village Voice)

Spieglein, a brief solo to music by George Frederick Handel.

Performers include Sarah Atkins, Elizabeth Brown, Holly Curran, Madeline Deavenport, Katie Gibson and Victoria North. The music will be played live by Melody Fader (piano).

"It's heartening to see work so focused on the meeting of dance and music." -Alastair Macaulay, The New York Times
