Based on the autobiographical novel of Thomas Wolfe. Look Homeward, Angel is the coming of age story of Eugene Gant. Eugene lives in Altamont, NC, it is 1917 and he is surrounded by his boarding house owner mother, Eliza, his stone cutter father W.O., his brothers and sister, the ubiquitous borders, AND the beautiful visitor, Laura, who becomes his first love.
