When a lonely woman in her thirties realizes that the years are passing her by without a partner, she desperately tries to get herself a man by various means. Through no fault of her own, each of her prospective partners dies on the first date. It is produced in Europe and now available in this superb English translation. Liselotte in May is a bittersweet absurd comedy about a gentle, lonely heart. This performance and direction will create a radical new interpretation about the text using many innovative technical and performing elements as shadow effects, instinctual sounds, etc. The most important theatrical invention will be showing the effective contrast between the chaotic, surreal language and images of the unconscious dreams and the concrete reality.
