The Latvian choir Kamer…, renowned for its distinctively bright, clear vocal sound grounded in the rich choral tradition of the Baltic region, is widely considered one of the greatest amateur choirs in the world.

This performance marks their New York debut, featuring a program entitled The Madrigals of Love, including New York Premieres of a variety of recent compositions by contemporary Latvian composers, all written in the style of one of the oldest choral genres: the madrigal. These new compositions will be performed alongside some of the 16th century works that inspired them, providing a rare opportunity to experience the astounding musicianship of this singular ensemble.
