JULIA SWEENEY’S LETTING GO OF GOD returns to New York’s Ars Nova for a limited engagement.
Hailed by the LA Times as "Brave, hilarious and a gale-force breath of fresh air," LETTING GO OF GOD chronicles one woman’s unexpected and hilarious journey when two Mormon missionaries arrive on her doorstep and inadvertently challenge her way of thinking about religion, God, and the nature of self. LETTING GO OF GOD is a comical and poignant story of a woman’s struggle with faith in our modern, scientific era.
The controversy surrounding the show has spilled over to other media. According to Ira Glass, host of NPR’s “This American Life”, the LETTING GO OF GOD episode in June, 2005 was the single most popular show that “This American Life” has ever broadcast.
For sold out performances, a waiting list will be taken at the door 30 minutes prior to performance. Door sales are cash only. |
