From France comes "In The Ring," which has been nominated for a a Molière Prize (French equivalent of a Tony award). This is the play's American debut and world premiere of its English version. The play is set in a boxing arena, which serves simultaneously as a playground and as a place to explore relationships between men and women. Parents, lovers, strangers, husbands and wives, even the divorced, widowed, all struggle with their instincts, their ideals and their childish impulses. The play is fast-paced, nervously oscillating between laughter and drama. Sparks light fires and misunderstandings lead to war, despite everyone's phenomenal efforts to coexist with the other gender.
