@ The Ailey Citigroup Theater

Francesca presents a one-night-only series of intimate portraits as a live installation at The Ailey Citigroup Theater on April 24. Audience members leave their shoes at the door and enter into a multimedia motion gallery. This special evening is inspired by the life of The Ailey School's former Director, Denise Jefferson (1944-2010).

The program features works and and Guests performances by:
Tony Award Nominee Desmond Richardson
Sidra Bell
NY2 Dance's Artistic Director Nejla Yatkin
Harlem School of the Art's Director of Dance Aubrey Lynch
Elisa Monte and ITE's Tiffany Rea Fisher
and Original live music composed and performed by Earl Maneein

It will also include performances by Eriko Iisaku, Mary Carter, Cornelius Bethea, Jehbreal Jackson and Stephanie Williams, Bradley Shelver with Cornelius Bethea serving as the text and theatrical advisor.

The night will include Harper's piece created for Louis Vuitton Reconstruction 3.0 along with a series of works integrating dance, theater, live music and songs rooted in themes of loss, renewal and transformation.

After participating in the motion gallery with a live chamber orchestra, the audience members are invited to show off their own dance moves when the gallery space transforms into a dance party @ The Fusion Lounge featuring original music and songs by Harper.
