Jacques and Martine, a 40'ish Parisian couple, is hosting a dinner party for an old friend Charlotte who they haven't seen for ten years, and her now famous TV personality husband. Georges, their sour-bachelor friend and Charlotte's old flame is a temporary house guest sleeping on their sofa for the past 2 months, and then Fred, Martine's gambler and womanizer brother asks them for money yet again, after a threatening phone call he gets from thugs he challenged at poker... and lost.
The control of the evening gets out of hand creating the funniest situations for the hosts and each of their 'guests', including Fred's bombshell girlfriend who ends up 'stealing the show'...
