The Clarion Music Society and The New York Collegium is a period-instrument orchestra committed to performing lost or neglected works from the 18th and 19th centuries in addition to well-known masterworks that are rarely heard on authentic instruments. This special performance celebrates the 400th anniversary of Monteverdi's monumental Vespers of 1610, performed by considerable choral and instrumental forces.
