Black Sea Hotel is a quartet of women singers who draw their inspiration from the Balkans. Creating their own arrangements of old songs, they've found new ways to use melody, harmony and rhythm to tell ancient stories. Black Sea Hotel's past performances include sets at Joe's Pub, Drom, Pete's Candy Store, Mehanata, Union Pool and the Bulgarian Embassy.
Friday, July 17th, Joy, Willa, Sarah and Corinna grace Galapagos Art Space with their enigmatic yet traditional sound, performing selections from their debut self titled album.
