The Wandering Theatre Company is a collection of American theatre artists dedicated to creating and sharing ensemble theatre with the world. We are a new company that came together in April of 2012 and have since been on a journey to create a new theatrical piece.

In our pursuit of creating a strong American theatrical identity we chose to focus on an important unsolved event in American history, The Salem Witch Trials. "The Afflicted" is a contemporary exploration of the accusing girls of the Salem Witch Trials. Not quite history yet not completely fantasy, this piece of theatre examines the internal psychology of confinement, fear, hysteria, female oppression and religious extremism.

In August of 2012 we welcomed audiences to see the very first workshop production of "The Afflicted" Off-Off Broadway at the 133rd Street Art Center. We have since re-vamped our script, further developed characters and are ready to return off-off Broadway for our second workshop production this June 7-16th at the Access Theater in their beautiful Gallery Space.

This is our FINAL Workshop Production of this piece before our U.S Premiere this July at the Capital Fringe Festival, a program of the Washington, DC non-profit Capital Fringe.
