ABAKUÁ Afro-Latin Dance Company makes a triumphant return to BMCC Tribeca Performing Arts Center for its 2nd Annual Performance Series.

Fresh from its well-received Lincoln Center Out of Doors performance this past summer, the company is poised to deliver an unforgettable show that will demonstrate the company's unique vision, talent and innovative spirit at the hands of renowned Artistic Director and choreographer Frankie Martinez.

This particular performance series will mark the the WORLD PREMIERE of the bold new performance piece entitled “The Life & Death of Suzy Q”.

The new choreography will reflect a symbolic as well as literal transcendence in the philosophy and practice of the entire Afro-Latin genre as interpreted by ABAKUÁ.

The program will also consist of two classic pieces from the company's repertoire, Raices and Children of a Groove.
