- THE FIFTIES GIRL: A SIMPLE STORY
WRITTEN AND PERFORMED BY SUSAN LAUBACH, DIRECTED BY GRETCHEN CRYER
- SAT & SUN, MAR 6&7, 13&14, 20& 21 AT 5 PM
Corn-fed girl from the Middle West comes to New York to fulfill her dream of going on the stage - that dream which has defined her short life, undergirded her every decision...oh, wait. It's the 50's. A girl didn't actually make decisions. But she had her dream. This is a simple story about that dream. And about New York in the late 50's when off-off-Broadway was just beginning to blossom.

"Funny and wise, Susan brings a sparkling self-deprecating wit to her solo piece. Her considerable writing skill is matched by her ebullience as an actress. It's a completely engaging coming-of-age adventure with a new twist." Gretchen Cryer
