Our Tenth Anniversary Production

From the bold sounds of the bagpipes and the harmonious blending of brass, strings and percussion, to the poetic and lyrical words that complement them, The Pipes of Christmas is a festival for the soul. Audience-goers return year after year to experience the program, many reporting that the Pipes of Christmas has become part of their family's annual Christmas tradition.

Featured performers for the 2008 edition include the Kevin Ray Blandford Memorial Pipe Band from Redlands, CA, three-time New England Fiddle Champion, Paul Woodiel, champion harpist Jennifer Port from Golspie Scotland, Andrew Weir from "Braveheart," Master Distiller Evan Cattanach, soprano Maija Lisa Currie and the Solid Brass ensemble. The concert is sponsored in part by the Grand Summit Hotel in Summit, NJ.

Over the years, The Pipes of Christmas has received great critical acclaim. Classical New Jersey Magazine said of the concert, "The whole evening was constructed to introduce gem after gem and still have a finale which raised the roof. In short, it was like a well constructed fireworks show on the Glorious Fourth." The Westfield Leader (NJ) described the concert as "a unique sound of power and glory nowhere else to be found."

Debuting in 1999, The Pipes of Christmas has played to standing room only audiences.
