Lawrence Dial Presents
Old Kid Cod
Thursday, June 21, 2007 through Saturday, July 07, 2007
For young U.G. Deeter running away seemed easy enough--slip out the window at night, take a Peter Pan bus off the Cape . . . that is until a twelve-year old girl decides otherwise . . .
Length: 1 hr 30 mins Intermission: Yes Seating: General Admission You choose your seats when you get to the theater.
When a disgruntled teenager steals the cremations of his recently deceased grandfather, he finds himself unable to runaway as planned when his tomboyish, younger cousin wakes from sleep. But strange things are happening in the small town of Harwich, Cape Cod: with an unknown specter stalking the cousins during the midnight hour, and the looming presence of their adult parents, our heroes are forced to make sense of a very mature and real world in the midst of their fleeting fantastical childhood. OLD KID COD is a quixotic fable with helpings of sailing, Salinger, and sugar-laced dialogue by emerging, east village playwright Lawrence Dial. Directed by Slant Theater's Adam Knight.
