Henson Shaw is a world-famous evangelist, Gloria is his wife and Samuel is their good-hearted assistant. Frighteningly, it's the end of the world. But hidden away in their remote mansion, they have their great faith to guide and comfort them. The Second Coming, after all, must be right around the corner, the moment when Jesus will take them home. But with the arrival not of Jesus but of a strange girl named Polly, as well as Henson's volatile brother Kipman, doubt starts to creep in, faith begins to crack and the terrible, unknowable world presses down. Henson and Gloria are then forced to confront their love and their lives, their faith and convictions, in new and frightening ways.
