How To Stay Bitter Through The Happiest Times Of Your Life
Wednesday, June 07, 2006 through Sunday, June 25, 2006
Anita Liberty made a career out of humiliating her ex-boyfriend in public. But then she did something stupid -- she fell in love. Now she has no reason to be angry. And that really pisses her off.
Length: 1 hr 30 mins Intermission(s): Unknown Seating: General Admission You choose your seats when you get to the theater.
Created and Performed by Anita Liberty Directed by Christopher Duva
In Anita Liberty's new show, How to Stay Bitter Through the Happiest Times of Your Life, Anita explains what it’s like when an angry performance poet comes perilously close to true happiness and finds herself clinging desperately to her artistic edge. While navigating the unfamiliar course of a healthy and happy romantic relationship, Anita also finds herself getting into bed with Hollywood and discovering that even though Hollywood told her how much it loved her, Hollywood was only ever in it for the sex.
(In stores this June: How to Stay Bitter Through the Happiest Times of Your Life by Anita Liberty, Villard Books).
