"a triumph...the entire dead city comes alive!"
-- The New York Times

"an adventurous riff.... at once realistic and fanciful"
-- Daily Variety

Not quite an adaptation of Ulysses, more like a riff on it, DEAD CITY uses aspects of the book's structure to explore contemporary themes.* New Georges' premiere of DEAD CITY will be the second production at a brand-new theater, 3LD Art & Technology Center, just below the World Trade Center site** -- one of the first new arts facilities to open in the process of revitalizing Lower Manhattan. We think it's the perfect venue for a play which, at its core, is a love letter to New York.

Not sure where to eat downtown?? Weeknights, we suggest Papoo's, around the corner from the theater at 55 Broadway (enter on Trinity Place). Mention New Georges or DEAD CITY for a 15% discount! For weekend suggestions, see www.downtownny.com or www.wallstreetrising.com.

*you don't have to have read Ulysses to enjoy and understand DEAD CITY, oh no!
**that sounds hard to find! It's not! Take the 1, R, W to Rector Street!
