For the past ten years, Bök has striven to engineer an unkillable bacterium so that it becomes not only a durable archive for storing a poem encoded in its genome, but also an operant machine for writing a poem in response—a living poem that can literally survive forever.

7:00 pm Performance / 8:00 pm Dinner

Art-b-q Fridays best encapsulate the essence of Mount Tremper Arts. In these hybrid evenings, artists share work with audience members in an intimate, informal setting. Afterward, everyone shares thoughts and a feast directly from the MTA garden.

Dinner is prepared by MTA’s resident chef, Richard Krause. Menu includes meat or vegetarian main, two sides, and dessert. Meats are provided by Fleisher’s Grass-fed & Organic Meats; and produce is harvested from the MTA garden and local farms.
