New York Premiere

Length: 2 hrs 00 mins
Intermission: Yes
Seating: General Admission
You choose your seats when you get to the theater.

Gramaphone calls this contemporary setting on a Lutheran Reformation liturgy "a spectacular work" and The Philadelphia Inquirer says this "scrupulously relevant" work is a "creative breakthrough" of "confident simplicity". Exploring musical forms and sounds that are both ancient and new, the work slowly reveals a profound investigation into our personal, internal, and very modern relationship with God.

The New York premiere will be given by the two Philadelphia-based ensembles for which the work was written. Piffaro, the nation's finest Renaissance wind band, and The Crossing, whose critically acclaimed performances under the baton of Donald Nally have garnered significant accolades.
