The story of the 19th Century Courtisane, Marguerite Gautier, who has to choose between sacrificing her only chance at happiness with the man she truly loves, or living the love she has found...Will her courage be justified in view of the terrible fate she faces? Immortalized by Alexandre Dumas Fils, the novel has been adapted into a play, La Traviata by G.Verdi, the ballet Marguerite and Armand, the movie Camille starring Greta Garbo...
This production uses a recent adaptation by René de Ceccatty.
