Lets get up close and personal with New Yorks most festive fireworks display!

And while were about it, bring your favorite picnic snacks, a bottle of wine, and enjoy a wonderful sunset sail to the Statue of Liberty on a 100 year old sailing yacht.

So here's all the sweet & neet deets.....

Timing: 7:45 to 8:00 pm boarding. Departing 8:00 pm sharp! Returning 11:00 pm (ish) after the fireworks are over.

Location: Hudson River, North Cove Marina @ Brookfield Place. Easy and best access via the walkway at the corner of South End Avenue and Liberty Street. (Puts you 100 yards from Ventura.)

And now for the fun story, morning glory...

Were sailing from our glam home base at North Cove/Brookfield Place, from the south side of the marina. Well worth showing up early and catching the scene at Le District. Very cool, although pricey.

Our mission is to get as close as possible to the fireworks launching site – close enough to feel the concussion blasts, smell the expended powder, and see the ghostly smoke clouds etched by the explosions overhead.

And this year were making the event even more special. Weve added an extra hour into the cruise! Let those other boats do their two hour, in and out and back sails. Not us. The extra time allows those aboard to enjoy a twilight and sunset sail before the fireworks, so you may leisurely enjoy your bring-your-own picnic dinner while under sail.

Sail plan, Stan:

Navigators and sightseers take note… Immediately after departing North Cove, we head south. Cruising past the past the Battery, we keep on going, destination the newly constructed hills off southern Governors Island. This extraordinary urban engineering feat, featuring three climbing hills up to 70 high is scheduled to open this year!

A sharp turn to 270 degrees, brings us west bound for a close, closer, oh so close pass by the Statue of Liberty. Well get so close to the Statue that youll be a

Hearts racing. Minds reeling. Knees buckling. Connie and Tristan have palpable chemistry—or is it a side effect of a new super-antidepressant? They are volunteers in a clinical trial, but their sudden and illicit romance forces the supervising doctors to face off over the ethical consequences of their work.

From Lucy Prebble, “one of the UKs hottest new playwrights” (The Telegraph), THE EFFECT takes on our pill-popping culture with humor and scintillating drama.

A comedy about performing a tragedy
Written by William Missouri Downs
Directed by Molly Ballerstein
Stage managed by Taylor Wilkerson

Tongue in Cheek Theater presents this New York City premiere, featuring an all-female cast performing all the roles.

This wickedly clever new play uses an all-woman cast to explore questions of courage and conscience in a modern setting, managing to both spoof Shakespeare and pay homage to him in a show that moves like lightning.
