Efrat comes from Israel to visit Anne in New York— with an open ticket. She’s 36, running from pressures that have suddenly surrounded her at home. Anne, an ambitious artist at 27 who has just returned from spending a year with her love in Israel, finds herself racked with doubt about her relationship after a tragic accident occurred months before, only to discover that she is pregnant. Their encounter leads these two women through a journey of discovery and change, shaking their belief systems to their core. Written by Jeff Gallon and Fred Larrieu (France). Directed by Jeff Gallon. Music directed and composed by Fred Larrieu. Choreographed by Cordélia Czaïka. New York Premiere. Performed in English. "Tomorrow's Dawn," from France, is an original musical which focuses on the central themes of love, friendship and hope. Tom is in love with Alice, who loves him too. But nothing is simple: they are young; they have parents and teachers. They are teenagers, obviously full of questions and pains. Fortunately, they are not alone: they have friends, brothers and sisters – thousands of emotions and feelings at the same time. And they have the certainty in their hearts that a better day is for tomorrow. Will they find themselves? Will they push all together the door of this new dawn? Lively, sparkling, sensitive, delirious, the piece focuses on the central themes of love, friendship and hope, reflecting the concerns of today's young people while exploring inter-generational relationships in all their complexities. Performed by the Company La Petite Famille (Morgane Cadre, Thibault Dols, Monia Zadri, Martial Dubois, Clara Turcovich, Smiljana Kovacevic, Manon Sinare, Sandra Barbaro, Loïc Pujol and Guillaume Kadri). This ensemble began in a middle-school seven years ago and has continued to this day with the same people, all from diverse cultural backgrounds. Despite their young ages (16/25), they have performed both in France and abroad (10 different countries) and in two languages (French & English). Reviews published during their 2013 tour to UK, Ireland and Netherlands described them as brilliantly entertaining, thoughtful, insightful and often quite funny.
