Carlos Blacker, a wealthy rare book dealer, manages both his marriage to a social-climbing wife and his close personal friendship with the disgraced genius, Oscar Wilde. Oscar lives under an assumed name in a ramshackle hotel, his well-intentioned attempts to enlist the help of his friend Carlos throws Blacker's lives into chaos.

THE HAROLD CLURMAN LABORATORY THEATER COMPANY is the Stella Adler Studio of Actings/Art of Acting Studios professional theater company. The Lab aims to produce socially relevant theater committed to the standards and ideals set out by Stella Adler, Harold Clurman and the Group Theater. The mission of the Lab is to provide the community, through theater and discussion, with a place of exploration and experimentation of what it means be a human being.

The Lab Theater's most recent work in Los Angeles includes the Ovation-Recommended and Ovation-Nominated run of Lebensraum by Israel Horovitz, and Ovation-nominated run of Long Way Go Down by Zayd Dohrn. In New York, the Harold Clurman Lab Theater recently presented the Edinburgh Festival Fringe First Award winning one-man show Mercy Killers by Michael Milligan and the off-Broadway production of Israel Horovitz's Lebensraum.

Daddy's Boy written and directed by Cristian Avila begins in the ring, with 17 year old national wrestling champion Milo facing off against his childhood best friend, J.T. This match is not just a physical battle but a battle of values, since Milo identifies as queer and J.T. represents the homophobia of Milo's Texas hometown that his two fathers fled from for more liberal Manhattan. As Milo is about to win the match, homophobic slurs are directed at him which serves to fuel his victory. Milo's victory sashay and pink singlet are recorded and the footage goes viral, prompting a media backlash that triggers a horrific assault on his life. This tragic event and Milo's bravery drive his straight acting dads to face their internalized homophobia and fears they have projected onto their child. Can they come together as a family to support their son as he embarks on the long road to forgiveness and healing?

Roger and his fiancée Lauren are cast in the two leading roles. Lauren, however, is unaware that her husband-to-be and the director, Lucretia, were an item in the past and still have unresolved feelings for one another.
