Join us Pride Week: June 25-June 27 from 8-10 PM Free. Daddy's Boy by Michelangelo Alasa', is a walk through, immersive art installation. A maze created with with video, found objects and words. Walk at your own pace through the House of Terror of his childhood into his magical "safe place". Within this sacred place Alasa' shares with you the personal arc of his life journey from child hood sexual abuse through redemption. Touching, illuminating and filled with humor, the best survival tool. Daddy's Boy is cathartic in nature and will make you confront your own deepest secrets, darkest desires, and biggest triumphs. This event is free. June 25-27, 2015. Join us for an opening reception on Thursday June 25 at 8 PM. Due to the adult nature of this exhibition it is not recommended to anyone under 18 years of age. This exhibition was inspired by the performance piece, Confessions of a Cuban Sex Addict.

It is a witty and profound setting of a commedia dellarte scenario featuring traditional comic characters, including Pantalone, Pedrolino, Dr. Graziano, Capitano, and the lovers Isabella, Lucio, Lelio and Nisa. First performed by The Western Wind in 1971, LAmfiparnaso was presented in New York, Italy, and on tour in the 70s and early 80s

Director and playwright Charles Curtis, will premiere Curtis stage play, Strings starting January 17, 2015, at the Davenport Theater, 354 West 45th Street, Manhattan. Inspired by the death of Trayvon Martin and other nameless black men, Strings follows one mans road to execution, and hopefully, another toward redemption. With moments before “Mans” hearing and possible execution, the only person that wants Man to live is his lawyer, Derek. While Derek prepares to defend a man he just met, they each find that no one is truly innocent.“I am particularly proud of this work, and am extremely excited to be working with the cast on this project. I wanted to challenge myself in writing this new piece, and in doing so, I found a piece that continues transform before my eyes. I only hope that they audience loves this piece as much as the cast and crew.”Strings will be performed in the black box of Davenport Theater starting on January 17, 2015.
