Ensemble Du Monde 2012/13 Season: A World of Music

Hailed as “… the future of classical music on stage.” (Time Out), Ensemble du Monde is one of the most dynamic and innovative chamber orchestras on the classical music scene today. Founded in New York City in 2000 and named to reflect the diversity of its members who hail from over fifteen countries, cultures and backgrounds. Led by its Music Director and Conductor, Marlon Daniel, the Ensemble performs music from the Baroque era to the Avant-Garde. Programs are based on the concept of presenting a variety great music not limited by cultural, musical or stylistic boundaries.
The philosophy at Ensemble du Monde is to "inspire, innovate and educate" and over the past years the Ensemble has created new audiences for classical music across the United States and abroad with its dynamic performances and innovative programming. In the new 2012/13 Season, the diverse chamber orchestra has compiled four (4) exciting programs that show the versatility of the orchestra, from rediscovered masterpieces to cutting edge new works. All concerts feature internationally renowned soloists combined with the virtuoso Ensemble and are held at three (3) spectacular New York City venues: The Dimenna Center for Classical Music, New York Society for Ethical Culture and Carnegie Hall (Zankel Hall ).
