After a sojourn in France, Francoise returns stateside to take a teaching job at Buffalo Heights High School, fulfilling her lifelong dream. Encountering unexpected adversaries and allies from security guards and popular upperclassmen to drug dealers and members of Congress, her dogged pursuit of the truth embroils her in a scandal that threatens to sink the entire school.
